Nine Blue Streak Athletes Earn USTFCCCA All-Region From The 2025 Outdoor Season
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Blue Streaks continue to impress at the Great Lakes Regional level.

After securing a third place finish at the OAC Outdoor Championships at the beginning of May and getting four athletes to qualify for NCAAs, the women are well-represented in the region as well.

As awarded by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the top five performers are recognized with All-Region honors for each event.

These athletes include Mia Scott (4x100 Meter Relay), Sandra King (4x100 Meter Relay), Paige Munchick (4x100 Meter Relay), Dakota Houston (4x100 Meter Relay, 100 Meter Dash, 200 Meter Dash, & Long Jump), Emmy Bryan (High Jump), Annie Higgins (Steeplechase), Abby Schroff (1500 Meter Run), Alyssa Vis (1500 Meter Run), and Lily Shahan (Javelin Throw).

Four out of nine athletes have qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted at Spire Institute this weekend.

The 4x100 meter relay of Scott, King, Munchick, and Houston became the fastest relay in the Great Lakes with a time of 46.24 seconds, breaking the school record twice throughout the course of the outdoor season. They were crowned OAC Champions with that time at the conference meet.

That's not all for Dakota as she became an All-Region performer in the 100 meter dash (11.64 seconds), 200 meter dash (24.03 seconds), and the long jump (5.77 meters). She became an OAC Champion in all three events and was named the OAC Sprinter/Hurdler Athlete of the Meet. She has solidified herself as one of the best athletes in Division III.

Emmy earns herself All-Region for becoming an All-OAC performer in the women's high jump and secured the fourth best mark in the Great Lakes Region of 1.62 meters for the Blue Streaks.

Another senior that represented throughout the year was Annie Higgins as she would become the OAC Champion in the women's 3000 meter steeplechase. Her time of 11:01.67 puts her at fifth in the Great Lakes, securing another All-Region performance for the distance runner out of Neenah, Wisconsin.

The duo of Schroff and Vis had quite the performances during the outdoor season as they both came away with All-OAC and All-Region performances for the Blue Streaks. Abby's time of 4:34.15 puts her as the fifth best in the field, while Alyssa earned second with a time of 4:31.47.

Lily Shahan would be your last Blue Streak All-Region athlete as she came away as the fifth best performer in the field with a mark of 40.61 meters, breaking the school record in the event, as well as earning All-OAC honors.

These athletes have demonstrated throughout the course of the year how much of an impact they made on not just the season, but on the program as well.

The women's 4x100 meter relay prelim will kick off the meet for the Blue Streaks at 5:25 pm (ET), followed by Dakota Houston in the 200 meter dash prelim at 6:55 pm (ET) on Thursday, May 22nd.

On Friday, May 23rd, Houston will be back on the track for the women's 100 meter dash prelim at 3:45 pm (ET).
