Men’s And Women’s Cross Country Secures USTFCCCA All-Academic Status And 7 All-Academic Athletes

Men's & Women's Cross Country Earns 2024 USTFCCCA All-Academic Status
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS – The men's and women's cross country teams continue to showcase their efforts on the academic level nationally. 

In their final season of being a part of the Ohio Athletic Conference, both the men and women have accomplished conference championships, all-region accolades, and a fifth consecutive NCAA appearance for the men. 

To top it off, both teams were awarded USTFCCCA All-Academic status for the 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). 

A total of seven Blue Streaks have earned All-Academic status with three three runners from the men's team and four runners from the women's team. 

Looking at the team status, the men earned a term cumulative GPA of 3.46. The women earned a term cumulative GPA of 3.63. 

From the men's cross country team, Tommy Naiman (Marketing & Supply Chain Management), Barrett Scheatzle (Political Science), and Jett Wieber (Psychology) have earned USTFCCCA All-Academic status for the 2024 season. 

The women's cross country team are represented by Annie Higgins (Biology), Ellie Kitsmiller (Exercise Science), Anne Rea (Biochemistry), and Sarah Weldon (Supply Chain Management) who earned USTFCCCA All-Academic status for their 2024 campaign. 

The program carries on the standard for not just their efforts on the cross country course, but in the classroom as well.
