We kicked off the day with the field events as Matthew Russo and Troy Buehner would compete in the shot put as Russo would place 13th overall with a mark of 13.77 meters, while Buehner would place 30th with a mark of 12.15 meters.

In the men's triple jump, first year Jordon Rodman would secure a new personal best. The first year out of St. Ignatius leapt to a mark of 13.30 meters to place fourth overall.

The running events should shortly kick off as the men's distance medley relay would make the Blue Streaks' first appearance on the track. The team of Sam Su, Brendan Root, Chris Whiting, and Jack Root would win the event with a time of 10:30.91.

Senior Dominic Delmoro would lead for the Blue Streaks in the men's mile as he would place sixth overall, clocking in at 4:19.67. Sophomore Chris Whiting would double back and run 4:28.83 to place 30th overall, securing a new personal best in the event.

A group of Blue Streaks represented in the men's 800 meter run as senior Mike Hvizdos would lead as he placed second overall with a time of 1:56.84. Grant Preto (1:57.11), Jett Wieber (1:59.21), and Josh Ackerman (1:59.32) all would finish in the top 15.

The 200 meter dash went the same way as it was another event the Blue Streaks performed at a high level. Junior Basheer Alramahi comes out with a first place finish in the event, running 21.65 seconds, just missing the school record. Tyler Gast (22.52 seconds), Reece Bacak (22.92 seconds), and Colby Humbert (22.99 seconds) would all finish in the top 30.

In the men's 3000 meter run, most of the guys were coming off an earlier race in the day. Dominic Delmoro once again led for the men as he would place seventh overall, finishing with a time of 8:35.26, followed by Nate Julien (8:41.40), and Sam Su (8:47.06) who would place in the top 20. Phil Coury (8:49.28)  and Brian Standley (9:12.76) would secure new personal bests in the event.

To round things up, the men's 4x400 meter relay of Basheer Alramahi, Colby Humbert, Jimmy Kartsonas, and Tyler Gast would win the event with a time of 3:18.71.

It was a full day of competition for the Blue Streaks, in which they took a lot out of what their identity will be this indoor track & field season.

The men will be back next week as they travel to New Concord, Ohio for the Muskie Meet #3 on Saturday, February 1st.
