Doubles Provides Bright Spot For John Carroll Men's Tennis In Loss To Lawrence Tech

Box Score After a close doubles session, visiting Lawrence Tech used a dominant singles effort to pull away for a 6-1 victory over host John Carroll Wednesday afternoon in a match played at Shaker Heights High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Results

Doug Moore and Andrew Triner produced the lone John Carroll point by defeated the duo of Alejo Tintore-Godall and Viktor Kolesnychenko, 8-5, at #3 doubles.

The other two matches were tightly contested. Alexander Tammaro and Alex Fernandez-Rajal  survived a battle with John Carroll top tandem of David Sinense and Andy Siciliano 9-7. At #2 doubles, Adi Jha and Parker Holyn forced a tiebreaker with Robert Saitov and Lukas Obel, but ultimately fell, 11-9.

Lawrence Tech then swept the four singles matches that were completed for the final four points.

JCU is now 1-0 on the season (this was the first dual meet for the Blue Streaks after playing in two tournaments earlier in the fall).
