Box Score Otterbein was the team John Carroll had to get through in last year's Ohio Athletic Conference championship match to win the program's first title since 2006 and earn its first entry into the NCAA Division III postseason tournament.

Wednesday afternoon marked the first rematch between the two combatants since then, and it was the Blue Streaks prevailing once again.

After the Cardinals scratched off a point in doubles play in the number two match, the Blue Streaks swept all six singles bouts for an 8-1 win. Lauren O'Malley (#1), Madisyn Rini (#2), Nicolette Bourlas (#3), Katherine Devine (#4) and Molly Traverso (#6) all won in straight sets.

Jennifer Stroyne, who had won earlier with Carlye Campagna at #3 doubles, had a marathon match at #5 singles. After dropping the first set, Stroyne rallied to win the second and also outlasted Marriella Briones in the tiebreak. The final score of that match was 5-7, 7-5, 11-9 in favor of the JCU junior.

The Blue Streaks are now 8-9 overall and 4-0 in league play.
