One day after returning from Florida, the Blue Streaks visited Oberlin Sunday in a battle of regionally ranked teams and fell by a 7-2 score.

In the ITA/Oracle rankings released after the fall season, Oberlin was ranked #12 and John Carroll #18.
The Blue Streaks started off in a 3-0 hole as the Yeowomen dominated doubles play. JCU managed to win just seven games in the three sets.
Singles play was more competitive.as Lauren O'Malley prevailed in a stirring comeback in the #1 match over Sarah Hughes 1-6, 6-4, 6-4. Jennifer Stroyne also won her match at #5 by a 6-3 6-3 count.
Madisyn Rini (#2), Katherine Devine (#4) and Molly Traverso (#6) were all involved in straight losses that were solid matches against an Oberlin team that is currently ranked #40 in the nation.
John Carroll is now 4-7 on the year, while Oberlin improves to 5-6.
