An action-packed Saturday afternoon proves beneficial to the Blue Streaks.

The John Carroll University wrestling team (6-5, 0-2 OAC) competed in the Si Ostrach tournament on Saturday held at Case Western Reserve University. The day featured a dual with Waynesburg University, followed by a round-robin of individual matches between wrestlers from JCU, Case Western Reserve University and Washington & Jefferson College, culminating in two separate dual wins for the Blue Streaks.
Waynesburg 21, John Carroll 18
The first action of the day was a dual against Waynesburg University. The back-and-forth affair featured Waynesburg winning two of the first three matches, back the Blue Streaks bouncing back to win three of the next four, from the 149-pound division to the 174-pound weight class.

Sophomores
Jimmy Suhayda and
Mason Litz each added a decision win in the later weights, but the Yellow Jackets responded by claiming wins in three of the final five matches.

Waynesburg's two six-point victories by pin, along with one team point deduction to JCU, proved to be the decider, as Waynesburg topped JCU in the opening dual.
