Julia Gulla Garners Second Team All-NCAC Women's Golf Honors

Gulla enjoyed an outstanding debut season for John Carroll Women's Golf

CLEVELAND – One of the most impressive debut seasons by a John Carroll golfer in recent memory has been justly rewarded.

Julia Gulla broke onto the scene in the fall and continued to guide John Carroll Women's Golf in the spring into the program's first season in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

For her efforts, Gulla has earned Second Team All-NCAC recognition.

The first year roared in the fall, earning medalist honors five times. Gulla set three individual low scoring records for the program in the fall semester, including a fantastic round of an even-par 72 at the JCU Fall Invitational. 

In the spring, Gulla tied for first at the Westminster Spring Invitational and notched top-7 finishes in the team's other three events during the spring regular season. At the NCAC Championships, Gulla secured a sixth place finish with a final line of 82-78-77-237. The Nordonia grad stood just a few strokes back of fifth for all-tournament honors. 

The Finance & Accounting major won NCAC Women's Golfer of the Week honors three times during her debut season. The Sagamore Hills native finished the season nationally ranked at #133 and regionally ranked at #21.
