Ben Herczog Places Fifth Overall At NCAC Combined Events

WOOSTER, OH – Championship competition has officially kicked off. 

This past Saturday, the NCAC Combined Events got underway at the College of Wooster. 

Sophomore Ben Herczog represented the Blue Streaks this weekend and earned a top five finish in the men's heptathlon. 

Herczog placed fifth overall out of 17 competitors with a total score of 4,209 points for JCU.

NCAC Combined Events - Full Results

After day one of the heptathlon, Ben was in sixth place overall with 2,324 points. He ran 9.14 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles, earned a mark of 3.45 meters in the pole vault, and ran 2:56.31 in the 1000 meter run. 

He gained one place after today to place fifth after competing in four events including the 60 meter dash (7.47 seconds), long jump (5.92 meters), shot put (11.10 meters), and high jump (1.62 meters).

Ben has put the Blue Streaks in a good spot going into next weekend's 2026 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at Wittenberg.
