Weekend Preview: February 20-22, 2026

JCU Basketball's Senior Day is on Saturday in the DeCarlo Center

With a busy weekend ahead, JCU Winter Sports are gearing up for the postseason, while JCU Spring sports are warming up with preseason matches. 

Here is what to expect on this exciting weekend.
 
Women's Basketball

The Blue Streaks are ready to end the regular season on a high note, with the third seed wrapped up for the NCAC Tournament. 

#10 JCU Women's Basketball will host the Wittenberg University Tigers for their Senior Day celebrations on Saturday in the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center. Tip off will be at 1:05pm.

The game will be broadcasted on Rock Entertainment Sports Network. 

Men's Basketball

JCU Men's Basketball is looking to tab another win in the NCAC to finish out conference play this weekend. Depending on the results, JCU could finish first through fifth in the league standings. 

The Blue Streaks are back at home in the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center to face the Wittenberg University Tigers for their Senior Day celebrations on Saturday. Tipoff will be at 3:05 about 40 following the women's game if the first game runs long. 

The game will be broadcasted on Rock Entertainment Sports Network. 

Women's Wrestling

The Blue Streaks are looking forward to a big weekend ahead. 

JCU Women's Wrestling will travel to Tiffin, Ohio for the NCAA Regional Championships this Friday and Saturday starting at 11 am. 

Indoor Track and Field

JCU Track and Field is on the road for another split squad weekend ahead. 

The Blue Streaks will be in Ann Arbor, Michigan for the Silverston Invitational on Friday with track events starting at 4:00pm. 

In the meantime, some of the team will stay in Cleveland, OH for the Ed Finnigan Invitational at Case Western Reserve University on Friday with field events starting at 4:00pm and track events starting at 5:30pm. 

The Blue Streaks will also attend the NCAC Combined Events meet in Wooster, OH on Saturday and Sunday. 

Men's Lacrosse

JCU Men's Lacrosse is excited to start their season this weekend with an old OAC foe. 

The Blue Streaks will travel to Berea, OH to face the Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jackets on Saturday starting at 3 pm. 

Baseball

JCU Baseball is ready to start their season this weekend and bring some wins back to University Heights.

The Blue Streaks are in Fredericksburg, Virginia to face the University of Mary Washington. Friday's game was canceled due to weather, but Saturday's doubleheader is still on, with first pitch at 12 pm. 

Swimming & Diving

Following a fantastic weekend at the NCAC Championships, the Blue Streaks will head to nearby Case Western Reserve for a last-chance meet. The Spartan Invite will feature a couple JCU women's swimmers and a significant squad of JCU men's swimmers.
