Orendi earned All-OAC Honorable Mention status

WESTERVILLE – Danielle Orendi's time at John Carroll has culminated with an All-Ohio Athletic Conference Honorable Mention selection.

This marks Orendi's first All-OAC honor of her career.

In 2025, she posted a career-low 2.78 ERA and limited opposing batters to an average of .234, the lowest of her five seasons. The former Upper St. Clair Panther had three games where she struck out at least 10 batters. Orendi's 7.3 strikeouts per seven innings also led the OAC, and her 1.18 WHIP (walks+hits per innings pitched) was the third lowest among eligible pitchers.

Her signature outing of the year came in the Blue Streaks' 1-0 win over Oberlin College. Orendi threw eight shutout innings, striking out 11 and allowing only three hits. The Blue Streaks went on to beat the Yeowomen in extra-innings after Izzy Coode ripped a walk-off RBI single into center field in the bottom of the eighth.

Orendi was a staple of the Blue Streaks' pitching staff for the last five seasons. Over the course of her career, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native recorded 311 strikeouts, a 3.90 ERA, and 23 complete games. A great leader and example for a program filled with young players, Orendi's presence inside the circle and the dugout will be missed at Bracken Field next season.
