The star junior is quickly establishing herself as one of the top players in the conference

CLEVELAND – The first two years of her career were solid, but the newest star of John Carroll Volleyball is taking the leap into the spotlight.

For the first time in her career, this talented outside hitter can claim a weekly conference honor.

Natalie Glowe is the North Coast Athletic Conference's Volleyball Player of the Week.

The Kirtland native is in the midst of a fantastic campaign, especially with her effort on Saturday. Glowe guided the Blue Streaks to a gritty 4-set victory over Denison at the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center. Her powerful arm proved to be a deciding factor.

Glowe notched a game-high 18 kills, outdueling Denison's frontline studs. The junior only made one error, good for an unreal .448 attack percentage. If that weren't enough, Glowe tallied 17 digs in an excellent all-around effort.

Glowe is making her case as one of the conference's best outside hitters. The Kirtland High School grad stands third in the NCAC with 2.93 kills per set and second in the conference with 214 kills. Additionally, she is 12th in the league with a .205 attack percentage.

Additionally, Glowe is first in the NCAC in service aces (37), third in service aces per set (0.51), and 11th in digs per set (3.18).

An important week is ahead for the Blue Streaks. John Carroll has two home matches, first with the Dig Pink Game vs. Case Western Reserve on Wednesday and then with Senior Day vs. Oberlin on Saturday. Both will air live on Rock Entertainment Sports Network.
