Wrestling Fires Past Student Princes in Final Dual Meet of the Season

TIFFIN, Ohio — John Carroll Wrestling capped off their dual season with an incredible victory against Heidelberg. 
 
The Blue Streaks were in prime form tonight, pulling off a 34-3 win amongst a rowdy Heidelberg crowd. 

Results 

Andrew Perelka (133 pounds) gave the Blue Streaks momentum tonight, earning a first-period pin (1:50) and bringing the score to an early 9-0 lead.  This is Perelka's 20th pin of the season, breaking his own record for most pins in a single season after just setting it last week.

Following Perelka was Anthony Santagata (141 lbs.) who battled hard in order to win an exciting match, scoring a takedown in overtime and winning 5-3.

Patrick McGraw (157 lbs.) had a notable performance, hammering his opponent and scoring a technical fall (20-5). 

Additional bonus points were earned by Luke Reicosky (165 lbs.) and Jesse Kanatzar (197), who both earned major decisions, beating their opponents 15-4 and 8-0.

The Blue Streaks will wrestle next at the JCU Open on Sunday, February 12, their final competition before the NCAA Regional Championship.
