John Carroll will look to clear a few major hurdles on Sunday as the Blue Streaks will host Centre College in a second round match-up in the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship.
The first hurdle is a very good Centre team. The Colonels - who entered the postseason ranked No. 21 in the D3soccer.com Top 25 - improved to 17-3-1 overall with a 1-0 win over Kalamazoo in the other first round match Saturday.
The second hurdle is the second round. Following today's 2-0 win over Washington & Jefferson, the Blue Streaks have now advanced to the second round for a sixth time. In their previous five second round matches, the Blue Streaks have managed to win just once - and that occurred in 2003.

Matt Nigro and keeper
