The John Carroll Blue Streaks enjoyed a redemptive weekend at the William H. Johnson Natatorium. A season that had little cause for celebration may have turned a corner.
After a spirited win over Wooster Friday night, John Carroll came back less than 24 hours later on won 11 of 13 events to defeat crosstown and conference rival Baldwin Wallace, 147-64.

It was a numbers game that worked in John Carroll's favor, as the Blue Streaks' depth was readily apparent in the early stages. In the opening race, the quartet of
Jack Garrow,
Mason Beck,
Jackson Cooper and
Matt Ramsey rolled to a win in the 400 Medley Relay, posting a time of 3:40.01.

Tom Pacak was among the event winners for John Carroll vs BW
In the 1000 Free, John Carroll was unopposed leading to a 16-point haul for the Blue Streaks.
Tom Pacak was the winner in 10:32.05.
Ramsey picked up a win in the 200 Free (1:49.752), after which Cooper grabbed a victory in the 50 Free (22.51).
Dane Bozsvai (4:33.48) and
Alec Bryson (4:33.48) were a formidable 1-2 punch in the 400 IM.
Baldwin Wallace picked up its first win in the 200 Fly, but John Carroll went right back to work.
Chris Soules (51.49) and senior
Charlie Braun (52.20) finished first and second, respectively, in the 100 Free. Another first and second combo scored in the 200 Back, as Garrow (2:05.25) and Cooper (2:05.49) were both over seven seconds clear of the rest of the field.
Senior
Brian Hulseman, in his final career individual race at Johnson Natatorium, went out in style, crushing the 500 Free in 5:07.34, more than six seconds ahead of the next finisher.
Ryan McClelland was spectacular for a second consecutive day, winning both the 1- and 3-meter diving competitions. He scored 275.45 on the shorter board, and 298.20 on the high board.
John Carroll is now 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.Â
