John Carroll spent six hours on the road but just one hour on the court to pick up its second Ohio Athletic Conference victory of the season.
With a 25-12 overall record, The Blue Streaks have dominated Marietta College in the 37 matches played between the schools. The 38th match would follow the recurring theme of Blue Streak domination, as JCU only needed three sets to win the match.
The Blue Streaks would win the first set in convincing fashion by a score of 25-14. Sophomore
Caitlin Cianciolo got the match off to a strong start for JCU with two service aces. Senior
Katie Cosker would add a service ace of her own, giving her a total of 161 in her career and moving her into sole possession of 3rd in career service aces.

John Carroll would not give in during the second set of the match, as they won by the same score of 25-14. Senior
Madeline McDowell would have a presence at the net, having a couple kills and blocks, including a block to seal the win of the set for JCU.
The third set would be the closest, with both squads trading points until 9-9. From there, John Carroll went on a 10-3 run to put the score at 19-12. Junior
Julianne McGervey would have a strong kill to give the Blue Streaks their 20th point.
The Pioneers would make a comeback, stringing together a few points and getting the score to 22-20. JCU would not fold, as the Blue Streaks finished the match with three consecutive points. The final point came from the hands of Senior
Kit O'Shaughnessy, giving JCU the third set by a score of 25-20 and winning the match for the Blue Streaks.
 McDowell and McGervey led the Blue Streaks in kills, with the duo combining for 19 of John Carroll's 40 kills. O'Shaughnessy collected 27 assists on the day, along with eight kills of her own. Cosker would end up with 14 digs.

John Carroll improves to an overall record of 12-9 on the season, and an OAC record of 2-1. This is the fourth consecutive win for the Blue Streak's over the Pioneers. Marietta falls to 14-10 overall with an 0-3 conference record.
The Blue Streaks play Baldwin Wallace at home on Tuesday at 7pm.
