Gabe Nock had a hand in two of John Carroll's four event victories against Oberlin
Eager to break a frustrating streak, the John Carroll men's swimming & diving team could not take down Oberlin despite first place finishes by seniors
David Sved and
Nick Holvey, and freshman
Gabe Nock.
Four event victories could not prevent a 149-91 setback to the Yeomen.

John Carroll head coach
Mark Fino, who had spent the better part of the past decade as the head coach at Oberlin, had an extra reason for emotion after the meet.
"This is the old team I used to coach and to compete against them, for me there were a lot of emotions there and the kids responded by swimming hard and swimming with passion," said Fino. "The goal is always to get better ... We'll build off today and make adjustments."
The Streaks' record fell to 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the OAC.
