Sarah Orlandi and the Blue Streaks avenged a loss earlier in the season with a sweep over Case Western.
Box Score Two weeks ago the Case Western Reserve University volleyball team dominated to take a four set decision from the Blue Streaks. On Friday, it was John Carroll's turn to dominate and the Blue Streaks responded with a sweep over the Spartans in the opening round of the Carnegie Mellon DoubleTree Tournament.
Backed by eight blocks the Blue Streaks cruised to a 25-17, 25-18, 25-14 sweep to improve to 9-6.
Jessica Kodrich and
Sarah Orlandi owned the net combining for 11 blocks which forced the Spartans to have a .081 hitting percentage. Kodrich, Orlandi and
Leah Switalski had eight kills apiece.
Kit O'Shaughnessy notched yet another double-double with 32 assists and 12 digs.
Sara Kaminski led the defense with 29 digs while
Katie Cosker had 12 to give the Blue Streaks three players with over 10 digs.
The Blue Streaks will play Farmingdale State College at 6 p.m.
