Glowe is the fifth Blue Streak to be recognized with All-Region honors

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS -- Natalie Glowe has been recognized among the top volleyball talent in the country.

The junior has earned All-Region Honorable Mention honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) for Division III Region 7 Honorable Mention for the 2025 season.

The award highlights Glowe's impact as one of the most productive and well-rounded outside hitters in the region, and caps off a breakout year for the Blue Streak leader.

The AVCA's yearly All-Region awards identify the top Division III players across ten competitive regions. Region 7 includes some of the strongest programs in the Midwest, making Honorable Mention status a significant achievement.

Glowe joins a list of who's who in JCU Volleyball history as just the fifth Blue Streak to make the All-Region team. She joins Abby Bednar (2024), Cassi Calamunci (2022), Katy Perrone (1996), and Stacey Mullally (1992, 1993, 1994).

Glowe's selection places her among the most impactful and complete outside hitters in the country — a testament to her work ethic, consistency, and leadership within John Carroll's evolving identity as a strong program in the North Coast Athletic Conference. In terms of the NCAC, Glowe secured First Team All-NCAC status earlier this week.

Glowe, who emerged as one of the NCAC's most consistent and explosive hitters this fall, finished the year with 341 kills, 332 digs, 41 total blocks, and 410 total points across 31 matches. The Kirtland native topped the conference in both kills and kills per set. Her all-around production and ability to take over matches made her a clear standout among Division III's top regional performers.

Across 109 sets, Glowe hit an impressive .218, recording double-digit kills in 20 different matches. She opened the season strong, posting 13 kills against Rochester and 14 kills in a sweep of Penn State Behrend, setting the tone for a breakout year.

With another year ahead in the Blue Streak uniform, Natalie Glowe's AVCA Region 7 Honorable Mention honor sets the stage for an exciting senior season. Her development, competitive fire, and leadership continue to push the program forward. Glowe's recognition signals that JCU Volleyball is garnering respect at the regional level.
