Persistence Rewards Women's Swimming & Diving In Comeback Win At Baldwin Wallace

Rachel Mizner won one individual event and one relay on Saturday
When Baldwin Wallace's women's swimming & diving team won four of the first six events Saturday at its home dual meet, John Carroll could have gone one of two ways.

Thanks in large part to three consecutive JCU victories from that point, the Blue Streaks defeated the Yellow Jackets 124.5-110.5 and are headed in the right direction as the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships draw nearer.

Complete results

Victoria Watson's first place finish in the 100 Free preceded Julia Adams' 100 Back victory and a triumph by Rachel Mizner in the 500 Free.  The trio of wins put the Blue Streaks back in position to take control of the meet. Watson also took home the top spot in the 200 Free.

Other winners for JCU were Karyn Adams in the 50 Free (26.40) and the 200 Freestyle Relay team consisting of Maggie Donoghue, Mizner, Avery Tan, and Rachael Libertin (1:47.08).

With the win, the Blue & Gold improve to 7-7 on the season, and will likely feel a jolt of confidence heading into postseason action.
