JCU Women's Swimming & Diving Flexes Muscles Early To Defeat Baldwin-Wallace

Liana Sved, Desiree Hagan and Kate Dart react to the introduction of fellow senior Lauren Singley during "Senior Day" festivities in a win over Baldwin-Wallace

If today's dual meet against Baldwin-Wallace were compared to a boxing match, the Blue Streaks went early and foten with the haymaker punch.

Utilizing 1-2 or 1-2-3 sweeps in the first five swimming events, John Carroll closed out its final regular season dual meet with a 146-65 victory over the visiting Yellow Jackets Saturday afternoon at Johnson Natatorium.

Results

John Carroll finished first and second in the 200 Medley relay, the 200 Free and the 50 Free, and swept the top three places in the 1000 Free and the 100 Fly.

The latter of those two victories was punctuated by the fact that the top two places were claimed by seniors Desiree Hagan (1:07.19) and Liana Sved (1:08.46) in the final home meet of their careers.

The 1000 Free sweep was achieved by Megan Carrig (1:34.50), Julia Adams (11:50.65) and Lindsay Pickut (12:11.05).

With the win, John Carroll finished the dual meet schedule with a record of 6-6 overall and 3-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference
