Less than 48 hours after a tough one-point loss at Mount Union, the John Carroll women's tennis team showed a strong ability to rebound by rolling to a 7-2 road win at Marietta Thursday.
Marietta's all-conference standout Amanda Carraher had a hand in both Pioneer wins, but John Carroll dominated the other seven matches. Anna Navatsyk amd Amy Marchlen had the most convincing win on the doubles side with an 8-0 win at the #2 spot.
Meredith Skaggs lost just a single game in a 6-1 6-0 victory at the #4 slot as one of five straight set winners in singles play.
The Blue Streaks are now 6-8 overall and 2-2 in the OAC, while Marietta slipped to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in league matches.
