John Carroll will head into the upcoming Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament on a roll by posting its fifth consecutive victory by getting past Capital, 6-3, on Monday afternoon at the Belvoir Blvd. Courts in University Heights.

JCU was 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the OAC after its first four matches, but closed out the regular season by winning six of its final seven matches.

That includes Monday's win over Capital in a match that was origoinally scheduled for late March.

The Blue Streaks were trailing 2-1 after doubles play, as only James Steward and Ross Venzke posted a win in the #1 match.

But John Carroll rebounded nicely with five singles wins. Steward at #1, Chad Reuhs at #3, Michael Finissi at #4, Venzke at #5, and Jeff Copp at #6 all won in straight sets. Venzke had a very dominant day by dropping just four games the entire match (two in doubles and two in singles).
