Mike Marcinko enters fifth season at John Carroll, his first as head coach of JCU Women's Golf and his fifth as a volunteer assistant coach for the JCU Women's Basketball program in the 2026-27 school year.Â
In his first four seasons, the veteran coach has helped the Blue Streaks make appearances in the NCAC Tournament OAC Tournament. Following 13-13 records in both 2022-23 and 2023-24, Marcinko helped guide JCU to a strong 19-7 campaign in 2024-25 and then a historic run to the Round of 16 in the 2026 NCAA Division III Tournament. Â Â
A coaching veteran in his 34th season, Marcinko joined JCU with 20 seasons of college head and assistant coaching experience. Mike has been part of the OAC in the past, coaching at Heidelberg and Hiram, as well as serving as president of the coaches association and NCAA representative.
Marcinko served as the head boys golf coach from 2019-21, earning 2020 Chagrin Valley Conferenceâs Metro Division Coach of the Year honors.
Marcinko resides in Independence with his wife, Beth, and sons, Tim and AJ.
