Kyle McPhillips enters her second season as an assistant coach for JCU Women’s and Men’s Tennis in the 2024-25 academic year.
In her first season, the Blue Streaks clinched spots in the OAC Tournament on both the men's and the women's sides. JCU Men's Tennis finished as the OAC Tournament Runners-Up.
McPhillips is a Cleveland native who achieved success early in tennis. Coming from a talented tennis family, Kyle achieved multiple #1 rankings in the United States throughout her junior career.
This success led to unlimited collegiate and professional options. In the end, Kyle chose to become a UCLA Bruin. During that time on the West Coast, she earned All American honors 4 times. This ultra talented Bruin also achieved the #1 NCAA Division I doubles ranking in her senior year.
Her most proud achievement was helping lead the Bruins to the NCAA Division I National Championship in 2014. UCLA was a Finalist in 2015 as well.
Kyle graduated with a B.A. in Political Science. She spent time coaching at SBW Academy and Brentwood School in Los Angeles, as well as the Ross School in New York before helping JCU with their 2024 season.
