Jessica Huff enters her second season as an assistant coach for JCU Women’s and Men’s Tennis in the 2024-25 academic year.
In her first season, the Blue Streaks clinched spots in the OAC Tournament on both the men's and the women's sides. JCU Men's Tennis finished as the OAC Tournament Runners-Up.
Jessica is beginning her 16th year working for the Department of Defense, specifically the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) agency, in the audit department.
Jessica attended John Carroll University from 2001-2005 for her undergraduate degree, majoring and graduating with a degree in Accounting. She continued her studies at John Carroll University by obtaining her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from 2005-2006. She obtained her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in 2007. Upon graduating from JCU, Jessica worked for Ernst & Young and Progressive Insurance prior to her current role at DFAS.
Jessica played Varsity tennis at Magnificat High School on Cleveland's West Side from 1997- 2000 where in 2000, the team was the first in school history to make it to States as a team. That year, the team finished third in the state. She continued her tennis career at John Carroll University where she played singles and doubles and managed her studies alike. Throughout this time, she played USTA Adult tennis, and held the Varsity Assistant Tennis Coach position at Magnificat High School for a season. She has taught tennis to children and adults through recreation programs and through her own clinics she offered. She now works with her daughter who is a currently ranked tennis player. Jessica looks forward to returning to JCU to give back the good that JCU offered her during her time as a Blue Streak.
