Britta Treu enters her second season as an assistant coach with women's lacrosse in 2025-26.
In her first year with the Blue Streaks, Treu helped to guide John Carroll to a OAC Regular Season Championship as well as an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Treu served as offensive coordinator, guiding a strong offensive attack for the Blue Streaks. JCU finished in the top 25 scoring in NCAA Division III (15.63 goals per game).
Treu played four seasons at The College of Wooster, graduating in 2023. Treu broke a 20-year program record for assists in her senior season while ranking 22nd nationally with 2.63 assists per game. Treu notched Second Team All-NCAC and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors as a senior, in addition to being a nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year and a finalist for the NCAC's Pam Smith Award. She finished fourth in Wooster history with 78 career assists.
Academically, Treu made both the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll and the NCAC Academic Honor Roll. Treu also received two prestigious awards at Wooster: The William A. Galpin Award for General Excellence in College Work and The Theodore Williams Prize in Music.
After receiving her undergrad degree from Wooster, she attended the University of Mount Union, where she pursued an M.B.A. degree and decided to use her fifth year of eligibility in 2024. Treu played 16 games for the Purple Raiders, tallying 37 points for them, including 28 assists, which ranked second for Mount Union.
In 2023, Treu was a volunteer coach for Maine Moose Lacrosse, where she led a youth lacrosse clinic for members of the Mi'kmaq Nation. From 2020-23, she served as a coach for the Maxim Lacrosse Club where she helped youth, middle and high school players build the fundamental skills needed to succeed in lacrosse.
