Ryan Schneider enters his sixth season as an assistant coach for the John Carroll men's basketball program in 2017-18.
In his 16-year basketball coaching career, Schneider has been an assistant at Lake Catholic High School (2001-02), Cuyahoga Heights High School (2004-05), Lake Erie College (2008-09), Berkshire High School (2003, 2010-11), and University School (2011-12).
As a head coach at Fuchs Mizrachi (OH) High School from 2006-08, he mentored the Mayhem to a 38-8 record.
He has had the opportunity to coach with Cliff Hunt (Lake Erie College), Andy Suttell (Cuyahoga Hts), Pat and Pete Moran (Berkshire), Terry Lipford (University School), and Tom Lombardo (Lake Catholic).
At Berkshire, Scheneider was an assistant under Pete Moran, helping lead the 2010 basketball team to its first District Championship and first Regional appearance in 20 years.
A 2002 graduate of John Carroll with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration, he was a letter winner for Mike Moran's basketball team from 1999-00.
Schneider currently teaches theology at Saint Martin de Porres High School in Cleveland. He currently resides in Willoughby Hills, Ohio with his wife, Nancy and their two children, Kaeden and Ryann.Â
