Men's Golf Makes the Grade, Winning GCAA's 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award

The Blue Streaks did strong work in the classroom this year

NORMAN, Okla. – For the third straight year, John Carroll Men's Golf stands among the top teams in the country academically.

On Wednesday, the Golf Coaches Association of America released the 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award Recipients for NCAA Division III.

The Blue Streaks made the grade, one of just 62 teams to be so awarded.

JCU Men's Golf tallied a team GPA of 3.44 for the academic year. 

On the course, the Blue Streaks excelled again under the guidance of Head Coach Jeff Pawlowski '91. John Carroll made quite the debut in the North Coast Athletic Conference, winning the conference crown while hosting the championships. 

The Blue Streaks then made the cut at the NCAA Division III Championships. John Carroll ended the event in 18th place. 

A GCAA-record 331 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award. Wade Boyle, London Hoyser, Austin Malley, and Justy VonLehmden were honored earlier this week by the GCAA as 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.

The JCU Men's Golf Team will kick off their fall season on September 5 when the "A" Team will travel down to Granville, Ohio to participate in the Ted Barclay Invitational.
