Blue Streaks Perform At Doug Raymond Invitational Hosted By Kent State

Natalie Chryst Earned Herself A Massive Personal Best In The 800 Meter Run At The Doug Raymond Invitational Hosted By Kent State University
KENT, OH – The women's track & field program made their mark at the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State University this weekend. 

The group competed against all divisions at the meet and some excelled in their event groups to earn themselves a new spot within the conference. 

Throughout the weekend, the Blue Streaks were also able to collect the momentum going into mid-February.

Kate Balland (200 Meter Dash): 26.62
Molly Brown (200 Meter Dash): 27.57
Aya Alramahi (400 Meter Dash): 1:01.48
Jayda Champer (400 Meter Dash): 1:03.07
Sandra King (400 Meter Dash): 57.81
Natalie Chryst (800 Meter Run): 2:17.57
Kylie Bennington (Mile): 5:14.27
Kelsey Sheridan (Mile): 5:14.69
Emma Hvizdos (3000 Meter Run): 10:43.16
Ella Gill (Triple Jump): 10.55 (34' 7.5")

With several personal bests made, the women made a statement in various events. 

Aya Alramahi would continue her progression in the 400 meter dash, placing herself in the top 15 in the conference with that time. 

Sophomore Sandra King went up against the elite field and ran 57.81 to prepare for what's to come next week. 

Another sophomore who took a massive jump was Natalie Chryst in the 800 meter run. She now puts herself in the mix in the NCAC as a top contender in the event as she is now ranked third.

The duo of Kylie Bennington and Kelsey Sheridan placed fifth and sixth overall in the mile, earning two new personal bests.

Ella Gill is now ranked seventh in the triple jump with that mark, while also earning a new personal best. 

Next up for the Blue Streaks will be the BU Valentine Invite and the Tufts Cupid Challenge taking place in Boston, Massachusetts next weekend. Two meets that will be important for earning national marks.
