Weekend Preview: January 30-February 1, 2026

Swimming & Diving will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday in the Johnson Natatorium

With winter showing up in full force, JCU's winter teams are back in action this weekend.

Here is what to expect on a frigid weekend.

Swimming and Diving

The Blue Streaks are back in the pool after finding success last weekend. JCU Swimming and Diving will be back at home in the Johnson Natatorium facing the cross town foe, Case Western Reserve University, starting at 1 pm. 

The team's seniors will be honored before the meet, recognizing Dewey Black, Patrick Branch, Mairin Dalziel, Olivia Goodman, Kaitlyn Hilty, Owen Holm, Lauren Koppelmann, Joe Nadur, and Bailey Parsons.  

The meet will be live streamed on JCUSports.com/live.

Women's Basketball

After an amazing win on the road against the Wittenberg Tigers, the Blue Streaks are looking to tab another NCAC win this weekend. 

JCU Women's Basketball is back home in the Tony Decarlo Varsity Center facing the DePauw University Tigers for their Girl Scout Game with tip off at 1:05 pm. 

The game will be broadcast on Rock Entertainment Sports Network.

Men's Basketball 

JCU Men's Basketball is looking to extend their winning conference record after an outstanding game against the Wooster Fighting Scots.

The Blue Streaks are back at home in the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center and are looking to come out on top against the DePauw University Tigers for their Morgan's Message Game. Tip off will be at 3:05 pm or 30 minutes after the women's game ends if the first game runs long. 

The game will be broadcast on Rock Entertainment Sports Network. 

Indoor Track and Field

JCU Track and Field will split time at two meets, hitting the road for the first time this calendar year. 

The Blue Streaks are looking forward to competing at Baldwin Wallace University's Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge on Friday. Along with, the Penn State National Open in University Park, Pennsylvania on Friday and Saturday. 

Men's Wrestling

JCU Men's Wrestling returns to action at the Pete Willson Invitational in Wheaton, IL on Friday and Saturday. The meet will start at 11 am on Friday and then 10 am on Saturday. 

Women's Wrestling

The Blue Streaks are thrilled this weekend to host the JCU Open in the Athletic, Wellness & Events Center on Sunday, starting at 10 am. 

Club Hockey

JCU Club Hockey will host Indiana University of Pennsylvania at Gilmour Academy on Saturday at 6 pm and Kent State University on Sunday at 4 pm. The CHMA title and a trip to nationals is on the line for the Blue Streaks.
