John Carroll earned a number of wins on Friday evening

FINDLAY, Ohio – For the final time in the fall semester, John Carroll Men's Swimming & Diving took to the pool.

The Blue Streaks took a road trip on Friday evening to a Division II foe, competing against the University of Findlay.

The Oilers emerged with the victory in a well-contested 144-117 decision over the Blue Streaks.

Results

The night opened with a conquest for the Blue Streaks. David Miller, Bart Kubis, Bryce Liddell, and Patrick Branch combined for a winning time of 1:35.31, just .12 seconds better than Findlay's foursome.

In the initial individual event, the Blue Streaks did solid work in the 1650 Free. In the lengthy event, Sam Kmet, Jacob Burton, and Andrew Chiappetta went 2-3-4. In the much shorter 200 Free next, Cameron Cook did nice work, earning silver with a time of 1:45.75. Soon after, Miller returned to the pool in the 100 Back, clocking in at 52.12 for third.

Bart Kubis earned the crown in the 100 Breaststroke in impressive fashion. The sophomore touched the wall at 57.87, narrowly winning the event. Kubis later got to the podium again in the 200 Breaststroke, with a runner-up time of 2:11.60.

To no surprise, Daniel Argalious shined brightly in the 50 Free. The speedster clocked in at 21.40 for the top time. The Saint Ignatius product also glowed in the 100 Free, earning a second-place time of 47.59. Patrick Branch nipped his heels in third at 47.91.

A great highlight happened in the 200 Back. Miller – a rookie from Decatur, Illinois – stole the show with a dominant time of 1:56.32. Luke Novak swam to second in the event.

John Carroll also competed quite well in the 200 Fly. Joe Nadur came up just short of the crown, settling for second at 2:00.01. Sam Kmet followed behind in third at 2:02.08. Nadur also did solid work in the 500 Free, finishing third. In the 100 Fly, Bryce Liddell grabbed a bronze finish, clocking in at 52.42. Nadur and Branch capped off the night individually by nabbing second and third in the 200 IM.

Cook, Dom Falcon, Liddell, and Argalious completed the evening in the 200 Free Relay. The quartet combined for a time of 1:26.38, good for the runner-up spot.
