Weekend Wrap: Men's Swimming & Diving Enjoys Success at Centre Quad

| By:
DANVILLE, Ky. - A long trip worth taking for the Blue Streaks Swim & Dive.

On the men's side of things, the Blue Streaks were able to put out some strong showings as well.

This two-day-long meet provided ample opportunity for every one of the men to swim different events. Since the meet was a 3-meet series they worked well under pressure with little to no rest. The Blue Streaks swam against Lynchburg, Depauw, and Centre at Battle in the Bluegrass.

JCU defeated DePauw, 134-71, Centre, 151-86, and Lynchburg, 137-41.

Coach Mark De Swardt mentioned that freshman Zach Marinis has a strong swim in his 1000 Freestyle, earning a time of 10:14.11

The Men's side of the Blue Streaks had some strong performances over the weekend. Junior Joe Naduar put out a strong performance right off the block along with teammates Ian Hoffmann, Patrick Branch, Kyle Priset, and David Miller.

This also gave a chance for the men to swim in 10 events throughout the weekend.

After a challenging weekend with the opportunity to swim multiple events back to back also allowed for swimmers to work on details of each race and technique. This allowed for great preparation for the upcoming Kenyon Invite.

As the team continues to grow faster and stronger they will put out a strong showing in meets during the course of this season.
