UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS – In a continuation of a busy weekend, John Carroll Men's Swimming & Diving met67 a long forgotten foe on Senior Day.

The Blue Streaks celebrated a pair of seniors prior to the team's home dual against Heidelberg University: Jacob Clark and Nicholas Wilson. John Carroll celebrated in style with a 159-16 conquest.

John Carroll renewed an old matchup with Heidelberg, a formerly mothballed program that awoke for its return this season. Previously, Blue Streaks and Student Princes had met twice before in the pool, the last time being January 31, 1979 (a 69-40 JCU win). Interestingly, John Carroll has only tied two men's dual meets since 1974-75, and one occurred vs. the Berg (59-59 on Feb. 8, 1978).

"It was a great Senior Day, and I was really excited to honor all seven seniors and all they've done for our program," said Head Coach Tanner Barton. "Jacob did his front double for the first time ever and his 100 IM win was a great way to end the meet. It's been the great weekend of racing. We have two meets next week, so we're excited to keep racing and training hard to get ready for the OAC Championship."

The Blue Streaks will have another busy weekend ahead next week. John Carroll gets to stay at home on Friday, hosting Baldwin Wallace for an OAC rivalry meet at 6 pm.
