UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- You could feel the warmth in the Johnson Natatorium on Saturday, and not just in comparison to the outdoors.

On a cheery Senior Day celebrating a large class, John Carroll Men's Swimming & Diving soared to a 219-74 conquest over Baldwin Wallace on Saturday.

"I'm very proud of our awesome senior class," said Head Coach Tanner Barton. "These men have shown so much growth over the past couple seasons, and I look for them to accomplish even more as we move down the stretch. Today, the entire men's team put forth a dominant effort from top to bottom against Baldwin Wallace."

The domination began in the opening race with a 1-2 punch in the 200 Medley Relay. Liam McDonnell, Jonah Venos, Bryce Liddell, and Michael Heller did the honors for first at 1:54.25. Jonathan Simoes, Jacob Clark, River Flatley, and Austin Davis combined for a second-place time of 1:56.56.

A full sweep didn't happen in the 200 Free, but a 1-2 finish did just fine. Jacob Farr took the crown with a time of 1:48.23. Davis did good work with a time of 1:49.16 for the runner-up spot. Another top two finish came with the 100 Back, as Liam McDonnell soared to 51.46 and Clark followed in 55.23.

Flatley found a first-place crown next, winning the 200 Fly. The Youngstown native clocked in at 1:58.36, followed by Luke Novak in third (2:08.49) and Max Campbell in fourth (2:12.78).

JCU notched its second 1-2-3 sweep of the day in the 50 Free. Forrest Campbell led the way with a time of 22.14. Liddell followed closely in second at 22.18. Davis rounded things out in third at 22.38.

John Carroll tallied second, third, and fourth in the 1 meter diving. Jack Lausin anchored the squad with a second-place score of 281.62 points. Christian Litwinowicz snagged second in 196.62. Campbell tried his hand at diving and earned 126.67 points in a Senior Day performance.
