John Carroll Runs Win Streak To Five By Bringing Back Important Victory Against Ohio Northern

Tyler Cole picked up career wins 89 and 90 Saturday afternoon to help lead John Carroll to an 8-1 victory over conference rival Ohio Northern at the Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center in Lima, Ohio.

Cole played #3 doubles with freshman Parker Holyn today and the duo produced an 8-5 win, taking the last three games to complete a doubles sweep for John Carroll. 

Also winning were the #1 team of Dillon O'Brien and Gustavo Garcia (8-1) and the #2 tandem of David Sinense and Andy Siciliano (8-2).

In singles play, Cole won his 49th career match by defeating def. Connor Christian, 6-1, 6-0. Also winning were Sinense at #2, Siciliano at #4, Adi Jha at #5 and Scott Adsit at #6. All five JCU singles victories were in straight sets.

With the win, John Carroll improved to 7-7 overall, marking the first time the team has been at .500 this season. The Blue Streaks are also 5-0 in the OAC, marking the program's 26th consecutive victory in OAC regular season play.
