Box Score The road warrior JCU women's lacrosse team allowed three goals within the first 4:22 of the match on Wednesday evening, before igniting an offensive blitzkrieg.

The Blue Streaks (10-1, 3-1 OAC) defeated the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets (5-8, 3-2 OAC) in a contested road battle at George Finnie Stadium, 20-8, earning the team's 10th win of the season.

April 11 is the earliest in a calendar year that a Blue Streak team has reached the 10-win mark for a season in program-history.

The scoring duo of senior Meghan Harte and sophomore Colleen Grombala gave the Blue Streaks the competitive edge, each sharing the game-high of six goals a piece.

Grombala's six-goal performance ties a career-best mark for goals in a game, as Harte eclipses the 40-goal threshold for the 2018 season.

Senior Grace Curatolo filled the stat sheet with a game-high of 10 points. The veteran now has four 10-point games on the season, and has surpassed the 350-point mark for her career.

Fellow senior Gina Vilsack scored three goals and added four assists, and sophomore Alexis Guage added two total points off of a goal and assist.

Following BW scoring three goals within the first five minutes of action, the Blue Streaks went on a 4-0 run to gain the first lead of the game, one the visiting team would not falter for the remainder of the match.

Curatolo, Vilsack, Harte and Grombala aided the charge during such span, and then rode to a 9-3 advantage for the rest of the opening half.

The Blue Streaks went to the intermission with a 13-6 advantage, before Harte found the lacrosse ball magnet in the back of the Yellow Jacket net.

Harte scored three goals in the first 5:57 of the second half as Grombala added a goal of her own, to give JCU the 17-6 lead.

BW's Caitlin Wheeler and Hannah Stein added two goals for the Yellow Jacket cause, before Grombala added two more goals for the Blue & Gold, collecting her fifth and sixth of the match.

Curatolo found the back of the BW net one last time with 1:15 remaining, as the Blue Streaks claimed the 12-goal advantage victory.

In net, the duo of senior Megan Sarles and sophomore Elyssa Zablo combined for four saves for the Blue Streaks.

As a team, JCU won 19 draw controls to BW's 11, as junior Brooke McQuinn had a game-best of 10 draw controls won.

Up next, the Blue Streaks welcome the Ohio Northern Polar Bears on Saturday afternoon for a 1:00 p.m. matchup. Saturday's match will be the setting for JCU's Senior Day festivities.
