Box Score The defending league champion John Carroll University men's tennis team started Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday without skipping a beat by defeating Capital 8-1 at the Western Reserve Racquet Club in Streetsboro, Ohio.
The Blue streaks were able to secure the victory winning 13 out of the 15 sets contested.

In doubles, the combos for John Carroll were stellar.
Gustavo Garcia and
Dillon O'Brien took care of business on the #1 doubles court securing the 8-3 victory.
David Sinense and
Tyler Cole followed in suite winning by the same margin 8-3 at #2 doubles.
Adi Jha and
Andy Siciliano were able to complete the perfect set to round out the sweep for JCU's doubles matches on the third doubles court.
In singles, the Blue Streaks were to capture wins on five out of the six courts in convincing fashion. In #1 singles,
Gustavo Garcia captured a 6-0, 6-2 victory. Cole and Jha were able to win without dropping a game winning 6-0, 6-0, on the #2 and #5 courts respectively.
Scott Adsit secured the tightest victory for the Blue and Gold winning still by a relatively large margin 6-3, 6-2.
Rounding out the victories for JCU was Siciliano on the #3 singles court by a score of 6-2, 6-0.
With the win the Blue Streaks move to 3-7 on the year and 1-0 in to start off OAC play, while Capital falls to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the OAC.
Next up for John Carroll, they will host Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday, April 3 rd as the Blue Streaks look to continue their winning ways against their cross-town rivals.
