John Carroll University (11-10, 2-2 OAC) lost both games in their home opener against Ohio Athletic Conference opponent, Ohio Northern University (7-13, 1-3 OAC), on Sunday afternoon. ONU topped JCU 6-3 in the first game of the day and 14-3 in the second.
Game One - ONU 6, JCU 3

In the top of the fourth, Jordan Bostater's double to right field drove in another run for ONU. The Polar Bears held a 4-1 lead until the seventh.
Matthew Donnelly crossed home on a wild pitch to cut the deficit to two. Aaron Zawadzki's sacrifice fly to right field scored Joe Charpentier. Heading into the final innings of the first game, the Blue Streaks only trailed one.
In the eighth inning, Steven Virost came in to relieve Drew Vargo. Virost held ONU to one run. JCU threatened in the ninth with the tying run at the plate, but ONU closed out the victory.
Game Two - ONU 14, JCU 3
Ohio Northern plated an early run and led the rest of the way, winning 14-3 in game two.
Keohane was the lone Blue Streak to notch two hits. Monroe Donnelly and Dominic Mittiga each had an RBI. Jake Servidio falls to 1-2 on the year. Jordan Bostater had six RBI for Ohio Northern on four hits.
In the first three innings of the second game, Ohio Northern put up 10 runs. JCU scored a pair in the third on a wild pitch and bases loaded walk. ONU added two more in the fourth to extend their lead.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Monroe Donnelly drove in Keohane on a fielder's choice. The Polar Bears added two more runs to win 14-3. Cam Mayle and Nathaniel Wenson both pitched scoreless innings of relief for John Carroll.
