For the second straight game the Blue Streaks reached the 20-goal plateau as John Carroll cruised to a 20-9 win over host St. Mary's in Notre Dame, Ind.

John Carroll scored two goals in a 49-second span to jump out to a 2-0 lead.
Moira Kelley scored with 27:59 remaining in the first half to put the Blue Streaks on the board.
Gina Vilsack netted her first of a game-high five goals 49 seconds later making it a 2-0 contest.

Meghan Harte pushed JCU's lead to four before the hosts netted their first goal of the game.

John Carroll answered back with six straight to open up a 10-1 lead.

Olivia Marsh led the run with five of the six Blue Streak goals.
St. Mary's found some momentum at the end of the half with three straight goals to close out the stanza. John Carroll would carry a 10-4 lead into the intermission.

John Carroll recorded five of the first second goals in the second frame. Vilsack led the way with a pair to help push JCU's lead to 10 with 17:31 remaining.

St. Mary's made the score 16-8 on a goal from Emilie Vanneste with 8:48 remaining. John Carroll answered with a 3-0 to put the game out of reach.

The Blue Streaks continued their torrid shooting on the year as 20 of JCU's 29 shots found the back of the net. The 69 percent clip improved JCU's season percentage to 56.5 percent on the year.

John Carroll recorded 28 ground balls on the afternoon led by
Kaley LaForce's game-high seven.
Mary Jo Murino made seven saves in goal.

John Carroll improved to 5-2 with the win and has now won three in a row. St. Mary's fell to 3-4 with the loss.
