Continuing its rigorous non-conference slate, John Carroll fell to Oberlin 8-1 on Saturday afternoon inside the Heisman Field House in Oberlin, Ohio.

Natalie Bourlas picked up JCU's lone win of the match. The freshman topped Erin Johnson 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 at No. 6 singles.

John Carroll quickly fell into a 3-0 hole in doubles.
Natalie Bourlas and
Nicolette Bourlas fell 8-4 at No. 1 doubles.
Catherine Engel and
Jennifer Stroyne would also fall 8-4 at No. 2.
Katherine Devine and
Tracy Gibson dropped an 8-3 tilt at No. 3.

The Blue Streaks fell in straight sets in the five singles matches won by the Yeowomen. Stroyne won the most games for John Carroll. She would drop a 6-3, 6-4 decision to Oberlins Emma Brezel. Devine and Gibson would fall by identical 6-2, 6-3 scores.

John Carroll is back in action with a 1 p.m. match against Muskingum on Saturday, March 21. The match is currently slated for Hathaway-Brown School.
