The quest for that automatic bid will begin Wednesday afternoon at Don Shula, as the #1 seeded Blue Streaks host the #5 seeded Capital University Crusaders in a semifinal round match-up. The contest is scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm

When the two teams met in Bexley, Ohio, on October 25, John Carroll prevailed by a 3-2 score. JCU trailed early by a 1-0 count before erupting for three goals at the end of the first half.
The winner of this match will play either #2 seed Baldwin Wallace or #3 seed Heidelberg in the OAC championship on Saturday, November 8, at the site of the highest remaining seed following semifinal round action. The time will be determined by the host school.
John Carroll is making its league-record 22nd appearance in the league's postseason tournament, missing just the 1998 edition since the OAC instituted the playoff format in 1992. It has also reached a league-record 13 championship finals, including each of the last three seasons.
The Blue Streaks are 18-15-3 all-time in OAC Tournament play, with five titles to their credit (1993, 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2007).
General admission tickets will be $7 for the contest, but a valid OAC student ID guarantees admission free of charge. Admission is $2 for anyone 18 and under, and tickets for seniors are $5.
