Zach Morris won his final career individual home race when he placed first in the 200 Back Saturday against Baldwin Wallace
Storybook endings do not always happen, but on Saturday afternoon at the William H. Johnson Natatorium, fans of the JCU men's swimming & diving team got the finale they wanted.
The matchup between the Blue Streaks and the visiting Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets was one sided as John Carroll dominated for a 174-96 victory.

The win sent the team's five seniors --
Evan Coury,
Nick Holvey,
Pat McLaughlin, Zach Norris and
David Sved -- out on a high note in their final home meet as Blue Streaks
"Everyone had high emotions as far as the seniors go," said Holvey. " I know it is pretty emotional when you have put four hard years in and you have your last home meet … it was nice to go out on a win and have everyone perform well."
The John Carroll point barrage started with a win in the meet-opening 200 medley relay by
Nick Bockanic, Holvey, Coury and
Gabe Nock.
Holvey made it a senior day to remember as he ended up winning all events he participated in, which included the 100 Yard Freestyle (49.22), and 100 Yard Butterfly (54.55).
Perhaps the ultimate "senior moment" took place in the 50 Free, where Holvey and fellow senior Sved tied for the win with identical times of 22.15.
Individual victories were also turned in by
Ben Parker (200 Freestyle, 1:52.11),
Jacob Crain (200 Butterfly, 2:14.64), and Morris (200 Backstroke, 2:06.93).
John Carroll will be idle competitively until the Ohio Athletic Conference championships starting February 13 at the University of Akron.
