Box Score Looking to carry over the momentum from knocking off its second unbeaten opponent in less than a week the John Carroll University volleyball team ran into a strong Bethany College squad on Saturday afternoon at the Purple Raider Classic in Alliance, Ohio.
The Bison took the match in straight sets 25-17, 25-21, 25-17.
Bethany College held strong keeping John Carroll from materializing any consistent offensive flow throughout the match. The Blue Streaks were held to a .036 hitting percentage but John Carroll did hold Bethany College to a .175 clip.
Alex Ehrett led the attack with seven kills while Jessica Kodrich followed right behind with six.

Sara Kaminski and Teresa Nower each recorded over 10 digs.
The John Carroll hitters came out cold in the first set with six unforced errors en route to hitting .033 in the frame. A kill by Jessica Kodrich tied the set at 12 before Bethany College pulled away with the set.
Alexa Webber recorded three kills in the set to try to keep the Blue Streaks in it.
The Blue Streaks battled right back utilizing a 14-6 run to take the lead at 16-12. Four different Blue Streaks recorded a kills during the run opening up numerous options for setter
Kit O'Shaughnessy . However Bethany College responded with three blocks down the stretch to turn the set back into the Bison's favor. Both teams cooled off hitting with Bethany College hitting .088 and John Carroll hitting .000 for the set.
Bethany College took a 6-1 lead to start the third set before John Carroll made its final push. Back to back attack errors, a kill by
Sarah Orlandi and a block by Orlandi and Webber brought JCU within three at 10-13, the closest the Blue Streaks would get for the rest of the match.
John Carroll will take on Alma at 2:30 p.m.
