Tracy Gibson scored a 6-4, 6-2 victory at #3 singles against Baldwin Wallace
Fresh off shutting out three consecutive opponents, the JCU women's tennis team rode into Berea, Ohio on a wave of momentum, but a fourth straight win was not to be as the Blue Streaks dropped a 7-2 decision to host Baldwin Wallace University.

Results

Tracy Gibson (#3) was the lone John Carroll winner in singles matches, executing a 6-4, 6-2 victory over BW's Morgan Baker.  Joining Gibson in the winner's circle was the #3 doubles team of Emily Gorndt and Hannah Baumwell, who succeed by an 8-6 score.

Though she ultimately fell short, JCU's Anna Stein went toe-to-toe with Kelsey Blatt at #2 singles in a match that featured several tie-breaker points to decide the outcome.  The final score was 6-2, 4-6, 10-8.

After the loss, the Blue Streaks (6-10, 4-5 OAC) will attempt to close out the regular season on a high note as they take on Heidelberg University in Tiffin on April 27.
