The John Carroll Blue Streaks picked up their second consecutive women's tennis win in Columbus on Sunday, as an 8-1 victory over Capital moved their record over .500 in conference play.

Buoyed by the play of
Athena Pappis and
Allison Mora , the Blue Streaks swept Capital in singles competition. Pappis and Mora both defeated their opponents in two sets by an identical score of 6-0, 6-1.
John Carroll also won two out of three doubles matches. The duo of
Maria Ciccolini and Cassie Simmerlick took home an 8-1 victory as Mora and
Deanna Bouchahine also took care of their opponents in an 8-0 win.
The Blue Streaks improve their conference record to 3-2 with their overall mark standing at 5-10. Capital has yet to win this season as they drop to 0-5 in the OAC and 0-8 overall.
