Blake Pinchot's efforts in the 100 Back helped JCU score a victory over Notre Dame as part of the 2010 City Colleges Meet
The John Carroll Blue Streaks saved their best for last at the 2010 City Colleges Meet held at Cleveland State University's Busbey Natatorium Tuesday.
A third-place showing by the 200 Free Relay quartet of
Eric Davis (Canfield, OH, Canfield),
David Sved (Loudonville, OH, Mansfield St. Peters),
Jimmy Ranallo (Willoughby, OH, Notre-Dame Cathedral Latin) and
Alex Vereshchagin (Solon, OH, Solon) -- clocking in at 1:29.60 -- capped the JCU effort in the final race of the meet. It was the highest place achieved by a John Carroll relay or individual over the course of the competition.

In the dual meet competition, JCU defeated Notre Dame (124.5-110.5) but fell to NCAA Division I opponent Canisius (166-76) and Cleveland State (200-41).
The Blue Streaks were the only non-scholarship program amongst the four school competing.
Vereshchagin and Davis both had top six efforts as individuals. Vereshchagin was 4th in the 100 Free (48.11) and fifth in the 50 Free, while Davis was sixth in the 100 Fly (54.34).
