Meredith McDiarmid served up a school record ten service aces in JCU's victory over Sewanee on Saturday
John Carroll won three of four matches, including sweeps in the final two, to complete a successful weekend at the Kenyon College Invitational in Gambier, Ohio.

On Friday night, the Blue Streaks took down Ursuline in four games but fell to Bluffton in three. Against the Arrows in their tournament opener, the Streaks were paced by 18 kills from MaryEileen Dalton. She also had 12 more in the loss to Bluffton.
JCU started off Saturday with a dominating effort over Sewanee (25-8, 25-12, 25-16) in which
Meredith McDiarmid (Strongsville, OH, St. Joseph Academy) set a school record with 10 services aces. She eclipsed the mark of nine set by Beth Cooper against Kenyon on September 27, 2001.
Kerry Fox (Western Springs, IL, Lyons Township) delivered a team-best ten kills against Kenyon to boost the Blue Streaks to a 2518, 25-12, 25-15.
John Carroll is now 6-4 this season.
