Anna Navatsyk has two singles wins during the first half of John Carroll's "Spring Break Games" schedule in Orlando, Florida

A dominating win over Susquehanna Tuesday helped put some smiles back on the faces of the John Carroll women's tennis team after a tough first two days on the courts of Kane Park in Orlando, Florida.
Starting Sunday, John Carroll took on NAIA power Brenau University, which began the season ranked #16 in the nation. Featuring an international lkine-up of players from such places as England, Malaysia, Singapore, Russia, Colombia and Arentina, the Tigers overpowered the Blue Streaks, 9-0.
On Monday, the Streaks were engaged in a very close match with the University of Findlay, a Division II school from northwestern Ohio. The match essentially came down to Findlay winning the two tightest matches of the day that were decided by tiebreakers.
Maria Ciccolini (Green, OH, Green High School) and Meredith Skaggs (Huron, OH, Huron) teamed for an 8-6 win at #1 doubles, while Amy Marchlen (Pittsburgh, PA, Mt. Lebanon) at #1, Ciccolini at #2 and Anna Navatsyk (Chardon, OH, Chardon) at #3 all won their singles matches convincingly.
The Blue Streaks finally met up witha Division III school in Susquehanna, and rolled to an 8-1 victory. JCU won the three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-6, and in its five singles match wins, won all in straight sets.
John Carroll is now 2-4 on the season.
