John Carroll dropped just 13 games all day in picking up its first Ohio Athletic Conference victory of the 2008-09 campaign by blanking Capital, 9-0, Saturday at Purvis Park in University Heights.
JCU started off strong with three dominating wins in doubles play, highlighted by the first ever pairing of Kate Lawson and Allison Mora at the #3 spot. Despite it being their first competitive match together, the duo produced an 8-0 win.
Singles play was much of the same, as all six matches were won in straight sets.
JCU is now 5-7 overall and 1-1 in leage play. Capital falls to 0-6 and 0-1 in the OAC.
